Test Chronode

Get early access to Chronode and help us build the best time tracking experience.

The need for testing

After months of intensive development, Chronode is nearly ready to transform how professionals track their time across any Mac application.

Before we launche, we want to ensure it works flawlessly across the diverse workflows, applications, and Mac configurations that real users rely on every day.

Beta testing isn't just about finding bugs. It's about understanding how Chronode fits into your actual work routine, whether you're a designer switching between Affinity and Figma, a writer juggling multiple documents, a developer coding across IDEs, or a consultant tracking billable hours across various client tools.

Real world scenarios

Your real world usage provides insights we simply can't replicate in our testing environment. Every professional has unique habits: some leave applications open for days, others constantly switch between projects, and many use multiple apps simultaneously for the same client work.

By beta testing Chronode, you're helping us refine the automatic tracking, optimize performance across different Mac models, and ensure our time monitoring truly requires zero manual intervention.

Your feedback directly shapes the final product that thousands of professionals will rely on for accurate billing, productivity insights, and understanding where their time actually goes.

Beta Questions

The most commonly asked questions related to beta testing answered.

Do I need to pay for beta access?

No, beta access is completely free. You're helping us improve Chronode with your feedback, and we value your time and input. As a beta tester, you get early access to new features and the satisfaction of shaping the final product.

There's never any obligation to purchase. You're doing us a favor by testing.

How long does beta access last?

Beta access lasts 90 days from when you first install the app. You can switch to the App Store version anytime during or after the beta period. If the beta expires before we launch, we'll send you a new invitation to continue testing.

Your feedback during this period directly influences the features and fixes we prioritize for the official release.

Will my tracked data transfer to the final version?

Yes, all your tracked time data seamlessly transfers when you move from the beta to the App Store version. We use the same Core Data storage structure in both versions, so your projects, sessions, and analytics remain intact.

Simply download the release version when it's available, and it will automatically detect and migrate your existing data - you won't lose a single minute of tracked time.

How much time commitment is required?

Simply use Chronode as you normally would - there's no minimum usage requirement or mandatory feedback schedule. When you encounter issues or have suggestions, send us an email with details and any screenshots.

The best feedback comes from real-world usage, so just let it run while you work and share your thoughts when something comes up.

What if I find a bug?

That's exactly what we're hoping for! Send us an email with details and any screenshots, and we'll fix it as quickly as possible.

Include details about what you were doing when the bug occurred, and if possible, steps to reproduce it. We typically address critical bugs within 24-48 hours and push updates frequently during the beta period.

Can I share the beta with others?

Please direct interested parties to this signup page rather than sharing your download link. We need their Apple ID email to send individual invitations and track feedback properly.

Each tester gets their own unique access, which helps us understand different use cases and ensures everyone gets proper beta update notifications.
